Púca has been chosen by the Irish Sports Council (ISC) to provide an SMS service for their Anti-Doping Unit, so that they can communicate directly with athletes in a quick and convenient manner.
The main requirement was to enable athletes to text necessary information such as training times & locations so that drug testers can test them at short notice. Athletes automatically receive confirmation of whether or not their message was received.
Púca are delighted to announce that the National Car Testing Service have entered into an agreement with them to provide the SMS service on their behalf. The NCT, which is operated by the multinational inspection and services group Applus+ have just recently been awarded the 10 year contract to conduct the NCT on behalf of the Road Safety Authority.
Renault Fluence mobile campaign powered by Púca
Púca has helped Publicis D, the agency for Renault Ireland, create a mobile marketing campaign that includes SMS response, unique codes and a mobile internet site. The campaign uses Púca’s industry-leading SMS platform combined with a custom mobile Internet site developed by Púca.
AIB Better Ireland text and online voting begins.
Local communities across Ireland will have the final say in selecting the children's projects to receive funding from the AIB Better Ireland Programme 2009/2010. AIB's 182 main branches each have €10,000 to award to local projects and the community vote will decide how the funding will be divided up between the three short-listed projects at each branch.
Over €80,000 raised in Haiti SMS donation service
Púca has helped charity organisations Concern and UNICEF raise over €80,000 in an SMS fundraising initiative to aid relief efforts in Haiti. Working with the Irish Cellular Industry Association (ICIA), which represents Ireland’s four mobile operators Vodafone, O2, Meteor and 3, Púca provided its services and platform free of charge to facilitate text donations of €5 each when customers send the keywords CONCERN or UNICEF to the 57500 shortcode.
Púca powers Ireland's Haiti SMS Appeal
Púca has partnered with Ireland’s mobile phone operators Vodafone, O2, Meteor and 3 to facilitate an SMS text donation service to aid victims of earthquake in Haiti. All proceeds from the campaign will be donated to Concern and Unicef.
Púca are providing their services and mobile technology platform free of charge and all of the mobile operators, the Revenue Commissioners and Regtel have agreed to waive any fees and charges so that 100% of the monies raised from every premium text message will be donated to the charities to help with their relief efforts.
