Heinz app developed by Púca sweeps the board at The Appys

Heinz BBQ, the iPhone and Android app developed by Púca in conjunction with partners OgilvyOne Dublin on behalf of Heinz Ireland received three awards at The Appys last Thursday night including Best Overall Android app.

The event, sponsored by Carphone Warehouse, is designed to highlight and honour the best and brightest in application development for smart-phones, tablets and social media platforms.

The Heinz BBQ app won in the in the Best Branded App and Best Food App categories. In addition the judges awarded the Android version of Heinz BBQ the prize of Best Overall Android app across all categories.

Available for both iPhone and Android, Heinz BBQ has absolutely everything you need to plan the perfect BBQ including a unique Grill Timer utility as well as an in built weather forecast and a host of mouth watering recipes.

Púca worked with OgilvyOne in Dublin to develop a compelling and useful app to keep Summer Lovers happy this summer, despite the weather!

The app was released back in June and was been a storming hit on the app stores over the summer reaching the top 5 of the iTunes Lifestyle charts and garnering 5-star reviews on both iTunes and Android.
